Loomis/Newcastle

Loomis is the gateway to the foothills. This area has become desirable partially because of the short commute down to Roseville and the Sacramento area while maintaining its rural small town character. Loomis is also popular with families because of highly rated Del Oro High School.

The historic fruit packing sheds are now home to produce markets, art galleries, gift shops and the beautiful High Hand Nursery complex. Downtown Loomis has a charming small town feel with small businesses offering unique shopping experiences. Coffee houses and cafes line the streets. Loomis is also home to breweries and wineries.

Loomis is green and lush due to the irrigation canals that run throughout a mix of gently rolling hills and flat land. Custom homes sit on large residential lots many with lovely ponds. Horse properties are scattered throughout Loomis and many have lush green pastures year around because of the irrigation water. There are small farms, organic gardens and orchard properties.
